These robust Raised Bed Cloche Kits are ideal for use at your allotment or in a large kitchen garden to create the perfect protected space in which to grow your crops. The pressure treated raised beds are a sensible 4ft width and are available either 4 or 8ft long. Each raised bed is 6 inches high – so in the photographs opposite you are seeing one of the Two Raised Bed Cloche Kits 4ft x 8ft, with cloche hoops and film in position. 

The strong aluminium hoops are easy to secure onto the raised bed and can be removed during the growing season for taller crops or left in position, covered with the film, to provide complete protection to smaller crops, helping to protect them from the weather and keep them pest free.

Each Kit includes the following: 

Wooden Raised Bed
The timber used for these raised beds has been sourced from sustainable sources and pressure treated with Tanalith E (this is a chrome and arsenic-free preservative). Whilst the corner and side brackets are strong and sturdy, being made from zinc plated steel. The brackets unique design enables the raised beds to be stacked one on top of another, so you can make them as tall as you need.
4ft x 4ft kit – comprises of four pieces of wood 4ft long x 6inches high x 2 inches thick and four corner brackets.
4ft x 8ft kit – comprises of six pieces of wood 4ft long x 6inches high x 2 inches thick, two side brackets and four corner brackets.
Depending on the size of kit you order will affect the number of raised beds you receive, to stack one on top of the other, to make taller beds. So the One Kit will be one raised bed, 6inches high, the Two Kit will be two raised beds, to make a 12inch high bed and the Three Kit will be three raised beds, to make an 18inch high bed.

Hoop Kit
These 1inch (25mm) diameter aluminium hoops are perfectly sized to be attached and removed from the raised bed with ease. Each hoop is 35 inches (89cm) high in the centre. Together with the hoops, each kit includes a ridge bar and zinc plated steel fittings, fixings eyes and cord.
4ft x 4ft kit – includes two hoops
4ft x 8ft kit – includes three hoops.

Cloche Film
This economical, one season polythene is clear to allow in maximum light whilst protecting your crops from the elements. It also helps to warm the soil in your raised bed, so crops can be planted and harvested earlier, and higher yields can be achieved. 
Each kit is supplied with sufficient of this 2.75m polythene to cover the whole of the cloche hoops when assembled. To tend your crops when the film is in place you can simply raise the film along the length of the raised bed and then pull back into position afterwards.

We recommend you have the following tools to hand when constructing this kit – cordless drill or screwdriver, mallet, sharp knife, 13mm spanner or socket.
