Electric Tubular Heater

Fit one or more of these aluminium electric Tubular Heaters within your greenhouse to provide a gentle, radiant heat to your plants. Ideal for use in greenhouses or other environments where water will be automatically sprayed, as well as sheds, garages, boats, conservatories or just about any other space you can think of that has an electricity supply.

Dimensions: - approximately 2" (5cm) in diameter and available in a range of four lengths - 1,2,3 and 4ft long.

Rating: - Rated at 60 watts per foot (per 30cm) length, to decide what quantity and length of heater(s) you need first calculate the total wattage required - a handy guide can be found by clicking on the link on the 'Learn More' tab.

Construction: -

Element - Wound nickel/chrome resistant wire on a mica frame.

Case - Port hole drawn 50mm Aluminium tube - finished with a heat resistant powder coating in a 'parchment' colour, fitted with an end connection cap made of 20% glass filled polypropylene.

Please note: All these tubular heaters are IP54 rated, they have a limited protection for ingress of dust and are protected against water splashed onto the heaters surface.

Supplied with: - a 3ft (92cm) mains lead, plug & fixing brackets for attachment to the walls of the greenhouse or other surfaces. The fixing brackets supplied are plain aluminium and are designed for easy fixing to greenhouse walls.
Tubular heaters can be used individually or wired together in parallel (in which case we suggest you use a competent electrician).
To thermostatically control, use one of our range of thermostats - e.g. Root!t Thermostat.
One thermostat can control any number of heaters provided that the total wattage is within the maximum rating of the chosen thermostat.

Please note: - these heaters are hot to touch, so mount only in a sensible position. If required appropriate heater guards can be purchased - please contact us for details.
