Diffused Tunnel Greenhouse Polythene

Light Diffusing – this polythene scatters the light as it passes through the polythene, enabling it to penetrate deep into the plant canopy and the light hits your plants from all directions rather than just from the direction of the sun. In this way the diffused light reduces the higher foliage from shading the lower parts of the plants, for healthier, even growth. This type of diffusing polythene also allows more light in to your polytunnel even when the sun is low in the sky (early or late in the day, during the shorter days of winter) and defects more light down to your plants rather than being reflected upwards, as can happen with glass or clear polythene.

Controls Condensation - once correctly fitted to your tunnel frame water will condense uniformly as a very thin layer, so instead of remaining in position as droplets, it runs down the sheet. This reduces the risk of water dripping on the plants below and prevents the loss of light caused by these droplets on the polythene – which can amount to as much as 15% light reduction. This effectiveness is reduced over the life of the cover.   

UV Open Polythene – means this polythene allows UV light to reach your plants which can have many benefits for both edible and ornamental crops, including enhancing the fragrance, taste, colour, earlier harvesting and longer post-harvest shelf life.
