Description
With a 180-litre capacity, this Maze Compost Tumbler lets you effortlessly convert your leftover waste and garden refuse into a rich, nutrient-dense compost.
To create a constant composting process the tumbler features two compartments. Simply fill one compartment until full, then move on to the second compartment. Once the second compartment is full the first compartment should be mature, ready to empty and use.
Cleverly thought out the design of the tumbler leaves sufficient space underneath the strong frame to kit a bucket or compost cart for quick, easy emptying when the compost is ready to use. A gear and crank system makes turning the barrel of the composter almost effortless and with only needing the turn the tumbler 2-3 times a week, creating compost in this way is easy.

Extra Strong Reinforced Barrel – UV protected for long life. It features multiple air vents to promote aerobic decomposition. The large opening and sliding doors allow for the easy addition of waste and the collection of ready compost.
Two Composting Compartments – split into two ‘compartments’ so you can fill one compartment at a time. In this way, once the second compartment is full the first compartment should be full of mature, ready-to-harvest compost and you will have a continuous composting cycle established.
What To Compost – aim for a 50 / 50 mix of ‘green’ and ‘brown’ waste when adding garden and kitchen waste to your compost tumbler. ‘Green’ waste includes green leaves, grass clippings, fruit, and vegetable scraps, cut flowers, cow, horse, pig or chicken manures, lucerne hay etc. ‘Brown’ waste includes brown leaves, dead grass, dead weeds, paper, cardboard, mulch, sawdust, hay, or straw etc.
Turning The Compost – when it’s time to add fresh waste into the compost tumbler you should turn the tumbler a few times to mix the new and old waste together. Other than that, you should simply turn the compost tumbler 2-3 times a week. To make turning easy the tumbler features a unique gear and crank system with a handle which enables effort-free rotation. A built-in ratchet lock can be used to automatically lock the barrel in any position and prevent backward rotation of the barrel.
Mature Compost – it takes between 8 to 24 weeks for your garden and kitchen waste to turn into a mature compost ready to be used in your garden. Before using, pick through the compost to remove large particles which have not broken down as fast as everything else – these can be put back into the compost tumbler to continue breaking down.
Sturdy, Strong Frame – of powder-coated zinc-coated steel. Its open-front design allows for easy access to compost when it’s ready to be used – there is plenty of room for a compost cart or bucket to slide in underneath. Simply rotate the tumbler so that the door is face down and slide the door open to let the compost fall out into your cart or bucket.
