Garden Storage

Storage for your garden tools is important as storing your tools correctly will help to prolong their life. If you don't have a shed or garage where you can store your tools, then our range of outdoor cupboards and storage chests are the answer. Designed for use outdoors, select from our range of timber storage units or weatherproof polypropylene cupboards and chests.
Long-handled garden tools are best hung on hooks - so a cupboard is best for these. Whilst small tools can be stored in a bag, bucket, garden trug within a tool chest or on a shelf in a cupboard. You'll also need somewhere to store your watering equipment over the winter. Keep garden hosepipes neat and tidy on a reel and store in a cupboard or tool chest. However, we always advise that water timers and computers are stored indoors in a frost free environment - remember to remove the batteries before storage.

Garden Sheds
Garden Sheds are ideal for storage - from a place to keep your garden tools, mower etc through to a place to overwinter your barbeque, children's outdoor games or bikes etc etc. Depending on what you want to store within the shed will affect the size of shed you need to buy. You'll also need to consider how much space you've got in your garden for a shed. So your choice of garden shed will be a compromise between what you want to store in it and where there is space for it to be located.

Make the best use of the storage space your shed provides by fitting it with some of our shelving or benching. Our Versatile Shelving comes in a huge range of sizes so you're sure to find one to suit the size of your shed. Or, if you want a co-ordinated look, choose some of our Timber Staging to provide storage space or a working area.

Outdoor Cupboards & Chests
Putting your tools away properly when not in use will ensure that your tools remain protected from rust and wear and will last longer. Weatherproof, outdoor cupboards and chests make storage of your tools easy - and also means they are easy to find when you need them again. Before putting your tools away remember to remove any dirt. For sharp tools - such as loppers, shears, secateurs etc - make sure that their blades are sharp before storing away - so they are ready to use straight away when you want to use them again. As well as your garden tools, you also need to be able to store away any watering equipment, including hosepipes, so they aren't affected by winter weather conditions.
Storage Boxes & Sacks
Storage Boxes & Sacks are ideal for storing small quantities of fruit and vegetables - keeping them stored so that they can be eaten out of season. Slatted, timber trays are great for saving small quantities of apples or pears - these should be wrapped individually in parchment paper before placing in the trays. You can also use these trays for storage of bulbs and tubers, remembering to rub off any soil or loose tissue. Hessian Sacks are also great for storing excess potatoes or onions - ensuring you discard any that have signs of disease or that have been damaged.
Storage Racks & Shelves
Being able to store excess fruit and vegetables when you have your own allotment or kitchen garden, means you can enjoy home grown produce all year round. Knowing the correct way to store fruit and vegetables so that they remain healthy is important. The most important factor is that they are kept somewhere cool, where air is able to circulate thoroughly around the produce - this is why using ,storage racks and shelves that have slatted levels are ideal. Wooden, slatted trays are also good for storage of smaller quantities - they are perfect for keeping small quantities of apples - these should be wrapped individually in greaseproof paper first.
